Leanne's 6th Birthday!

We didn't start doing the blog until February, so I didn't get to post Leanne's birthday pictures on here. Her birthday is January 18th and so wanted a candy birthday cake (her favorite food is sugar and salt). So I thought what kind of cake could I make with candy. So my mom and me thought of a Candy Land theme, which is Leanne favorite game! My mom was here to help me also, which was awesome! Leanne loved her cake and got to keep one of the candy houses.

We got a shark slip-n-slide for the kids, so today we set it up! It took me forever to get it going but I finally did it. Leanne was a natural. She slid on her stomach the first time and almost made it all the way down with out getting bit by the shark. But Dallin didn't learn quite so fast. He kept going down on his knees and then crawling through the shark. He got better the more he tried but the funny thing is that he thinks he's fighting the shark and he has to mentally prepare himself...so with a pep talk, followed by a fighting stances he is ready to go. And Jillian would walk down like she was going to do it but each time the shark came up she would run back to me. We'll give her a little more time to figure out that the shark isn't real!
