Luke at 9 Months

I can't believe Luke is 9 months old. He is the best baby! He is still very serious and looks at everything very carefully, like he is trying to figure out how everything works! He does not like any food which is something I'm struggling with for two reasons: I hate picky eaters and I have to nurse him every three hours still! (even during the night). But he is a healthy 22 pounds and 10 ounces. He is 30 3/4 inches long. His head is 18 1/2 inches round. He just had his first visit to the E.R. because he was in a lot of pain and every 30 minutes he would scream in pain. I thought he might have swallowed something bad, so they did x-ray and they didn't find anything. So the next morning I went to the pediatrician and I while I was changing his diaper he started crying and peeing at the same time and the pee was slowly coming out. So they tested his urine and found white blood cells and blood. It got sent off to the lab to find out what kind of infection it was, but there was no infection. The doctor said he might have had some "gunk" build up. But he is better now! This happened a week after his nine month check up and just after a week he weighed 23 pounds even!

He crawls everywhere and climbs anything he can get his chubby legs on. He as gotten a few bumps and bruised, but keeps on going. He does say "Mamma" and he says it when he is looking for me or crying! And instead of having a farmers tan, I say he has a fat roll tan because in his wrist and ankle fat is very white and the rest of him is tan! He loves the pool and beach, he get very relaxed and usually falls asleep. Dallin said that he thinks it so fun having a baby around and I agree! He is my first baby that absolutely loves Daddy! It took the rest of them a while to warm up to him. Everyday when Rich gets home Luke goes right to him! This makes Rich feel good!

Luke at 4 Months Old
Luke is four months old and growing like a weed!
Loves tummy time and that has turned into knee and elbow time and driving mommy crazy rolling off the blanket onto the tile.Loves hands (his own and others), he will stare at his hands turning them every direction and he will grab other hands as well and look and turn them also!
Sticking Out his tongue! He always has it sticking out...all the time!
His sister, Jillian, she can make him laugh by just looking at him!
His brother, Dallin, he watches everything Dallin does. Dallin get sad because he can't make Luke laugh like Jillie, but I tell him that Luke is too busy watching everything Dallin does so he can be just like him!Eating, He weighed in at 18 lbs 12 oz and was 27 1/2 inches long at his 4 month check up! He will probably out grow his car seat by 5 months.Daddy's thumb, he loves to sit with Daddy and chew on his thumb with his 2 first teeth! Yes, already!Dislikes:Car seat! :(

Missouri in January
In January Rich was working the Keys for two weeks and I didn't want to stay home by myself, so I checked to see what plane tickets would be! They turned out to be fantastic: $29 one way and $9.99 the way back, so we went to Missouri! The best things about being in Missouri is being with family and being on Papa's and Meme's farm. It is so relaxing! Since the weather got bad we only got to see grandparents this time. Meme's parent come over before the weather got bad and then we were able to visit Papa's the night the winter storm was coming. Of course they all wanted to see Luke and the kids, who cares about me! Luke was mesmerized by Granny's scarf. He really wanted to taste it. We got to spend a lot of time with my nieces, Abigale and Olivia because school was canceled. Jillian was Abigale's shadow and Dallin and Olivia played all kinds of games. Meme cooked good food and Papa let us feed the animals and do chores with him.
Thankfully the snow storm wasn't quite as bad as they were calling for. It actually turned out to be perfect. The first day it was just beautiful and then the second day it warmed up to play in and it was perfect for a snowman and sledding. And the best Meme's snow ice cream!
Leanne's 8th Birthday!
We celebrated Leanne's 8th Birthday on January 18th. She wanted to go to Chuck E Cheese and have a Chuck E Cheese cake. Which did make me sad, because I love to make the kids b-day cakes each year, but that's what she wanted!
She is growing up so fast. She is so smart and always knows what she wants. She makes friends so easily. When we were at Chuck E Cheeses she made a new friend and they took their picture together. She is hopefully going to get baptized this year now that she is old enough, but she is a little scared so it might not happen right away.
My wonderful new friend, Happy, took Leanne's yearly pictures for me. Happy did a great job and Leanne looks so beautiful.
Christmas 2009
I was really bad at taking pictures this Christmas (I know it's so terrible, especially when it was Luke's 1st). This was the first year our little family had no extended family to celebrate the holidays with and Leanne didn't get to come either, so it wasn't the best. I tried to tell myself it would be great with just our little family and even though I liked it...I would much rather have a big family around! The best thing was Nana coming down 4 days after Christmas to visit for a few days! We went to the park and just enjoyed having her with us...it was a little chilly for the beach! I dressed Luke warm one day and it reminded me of Randy from A Christmas Story when he couldn't put his arms down!

Dallin's 6th B-day!
On December 23rd, we celebrated Dallin's 6th Birthday! I can't believe my baby boy is 6 years old! He is the best son, I couldn't dream of a better one. He is helpful, smart, senstive, loves to make people happy and loves to read the scriptures. He is in kindergarten this year and loves it most days. He was asked to particpate in an accelerated reading program that is usually not given to kindergarteners but he is doing really well. He says his favorite part of the day is lunch time...he gets that from his father. He really wanted a transformers cake for his b-day and we decide what would be on it, so I made the cake and when I was getting ready to decorate it, I couldn't find my frosting colors or utensils. So we ate a white confette cake with the family and then he got the spiderman cupcake cake below with friends. He got an awesome big wheel that I will have to post pictures of later.
Happy Birthday Dallin! We love you!
