Leanne's 7 Year Old Pictures!

Leanne turned seven this year, I can't believe how fast time goes by. She is 7 going on 35. She is the type of person you would call an "old soul" and she is always right. We had a conversation about our family's hair color one day when she said that Dallin's hair was bright red. Dallin said it was just like mine. Then Leanne laughed and said her hair is brown! I told her my hair was red, but she insisted that it was definitely brown. Then I found myself arguing with a 7 seven old, like I was 7 also! She is so smart and clever! And just wants to have fun all the time!

It only took 6 Days!!!

Yesterday when we watered the sunflower garden it looked the same as the day before, BUT today we have sunflower sprouts! I can't believe it only took 6 days. Rich said they grow really good in sand, so it's great to have sand instead of soil for once. ( i usually hate the sand, because it's where the fire ants like to build their massive colonies) So maybe we will have some beautiful sunflowers to look at sooner!

Jillian's Easter Sunflower Garden

Today we planted two rows of sunflowers. Jillian got the seeds from Papa and Meme in her Easter basket with a little hand rake. The back row will hopefully be regular sunflowers that grow 8-12 feet tall. The front row will be different colors of sunflowers that grow 5-7 feet tall. We should see sprouts in about 20 days!! Then it will take 70 to 90 days for them to be full grown. If everything works out, we will post more pictures of Jillie's beautiful garden. They require a lot of water everyday!
